We created this effortlessly chic tablecloth in collaboration with Tensira — a celebrated textile house founded by a Guinean and Finnish husband-and-wife duo that blends Scandinavian aesthetics with ancestral West African weaving and dyeing techniques. We dreamt up Kendall’s simple yet unexpected design in-house, taking our inspiration from vintage French ticking and the varied band sizes found on India’s traditional striped dhurrie rugs. Tensira’s team of skilled craftswomen then brought our design to life using cotton that was spun and woven by hand and dyed following age-old methods that have been passed down for generations. In a fresh palette of cream and soft, rosy beige, it’s the perfect blend of European elegance and global authenticity — great for special occasions or for making the everyday feel a little more elevated. We especially love it styled with timeless white serveware and JH x Tensira Napkins in similar hues for a breezy, summer tablescape.
