In this method, threads are wrapped around a frame and individually tied off with pigment-resistant palm fibers before dyeing and weaving. With each dye color, fibers are added or removed to create colorful and uniquely intricate pattern. Roan features a mesmerizing motif made up of concentric circles in shades of black, cream and warm caramel.
