Description
An elegant four-section room divider from the RY series—models RY 8, RY 15, and RY 18—designed by Hans J. Wegner and manufactured by RY Møbler in Denmark. Crafted in oak, the composition balances open storage with enclosed function, characteristic of Wegner’s restrained, architectural approach to modular furniture.
Crafted in solid oak with warm, even grain throughout. The central cabinet features a drop-front writing surface, integrated interior shelving, and an original interior lamp, newly rewired. The lower cabinet provides concealed storage behind hinged doors, while the surrounding bookcase sections offer generous open shelving.
This piece has been carefully restored: A cognac leather door cover has been added to the cabinet front and tumbled brass covers now discreetly conceal cable openings.
Maker’s marks are present on the back and inside the cabinet. Danish manufacture. 1 key included.
