Tisvilde Landscape by Orla Muff, 1944
An oil on canvas landscape with a layered composition in earthy greens, ochres, and deep browns, anchored by a dark horizon line and a bold vertical blue element at the edge.
Signed “Muff 44” in the lower corner. The reverse shows handwritten text including “LANDSKAB TISVILDE,” indicating the Danish coastal region depicted.
Orla Muff (1903–1984) was a Copenhagen-born painter known for expressive landscapes rendered with a restrained, earthy palette and a focus on atmosphere and place.
Set in a vintage wood frame with visible wear, including light surface marks and age-related patina. The canvas shows minor surface irregularities consistent with age and medium.
