Add a classic pop of pattern to your bedding collection with one of our JH x Tensira Throws. We created these beautiful blankets in collaboration with Tensira — a celebrated textile house founded by a Guinean and Finnish husband-and-wife duo that blends Scandinavian aesthetics with West African weaving and dyeing techniques. We dreamt up their simple patterns in-house, taking our inspiration from the timeless striped motifs we’ve encountered on our world travels — from the wide-width awning stripes used at so many of our favorite coastal getaways to the variegated lines found on traditional Indian dhurrie rugs. Tensira’s team of skilled craftswomen then brought our designs to life using cotton that was spun and woven by hand and dyed in one of two colorways — Jaipur’s muted, rosy beige or Ciel’s fresh bluish-grey. The end result? A line of soft, lightweight throw blankets that perfectly balance European elegance with global authenticity. Great for curling up with on a breezy summer evening, our JH x Tensira Throws also look lovely draped over the back of the sofa or foot of the bed when not in use. We especially love them layered with our matching JH x Tensira Pillows and Bedcovers for an effortlessly chic feel.
