Lostine - 1940s Dutch High Back Rope Chair
Pickup currently not available
Description
Handmade in the Netherlands in the 1940s, this high-back lounge chair comes from noted Dutch designer Bas Van Pelt. It retains its original rope backing and spring seat construction, hallmarks of Van Pelt's postwar design work, framed by a tall, striking silhouette that anchors a room. The finish has been refreshed, giving the frame a clean, ready-to-live-with presence while preserving its vintage character.
CONDITION: Good vintage condition. Some spotting is present on the arm, along with light wear to the cushion. The frame finish has been refreshed to address minor scuffing. The original upholstery is included with the piece.
Kindly note that the item is in vintage condition, exhibiting signs of age and wear. While we strive to capture the most significant marks in our photographs, some minor imperfections may not be pictured. For further details, please speak with one of our team members at shopkeeper@lostine.com.
