V. Fonda, 1954
A vintage oil painting depicting a coastal roadway leading toward a distant city skyline. Soft, atmospheric brushwork and a faded palette of pale blues, muted greens, and warm neutrals create a hazy sense of depth, while the curving road draws the eye through the composition toward the waterfront and buildings beyond.
Signed and dated lower right, "V. Fonda 54." The painting is presented in an ornate carved wood frame with a distressed cream and gilt finish that complements the subdued tones of the work.
Vintage condition with wear to the frame, including surface wear, finish loss, and stable cracking to the decorative corner ornamentation consistent with age. The painting itself shows gentle age-related character throughout.
