Olive Ateliers - Henning Style Chair - Chateau

The Chateau Chair is an object sourced by Olive Ateliers. Inspired by renowned Danish designer Henning Kjaernulf this piece celebrates meticulous craftsmanship in chair design.

Whether in the study, living room, or reading nook, the object adds elegance and functionality to any space. The roll of the front legs, the darkened finish on the wood, the seat cushion and backrest in the brown plaid are set off by the gentle shape of the rails.

An old man with a blue cap walked his bicycle past the hotel. I stopped him to ask for directions to the chateau. He was curious why we would set out on such a journey, but he was happy to tell me. You’ll see a road at the north end of the town; follow it. Keep going until you see a field of sunflowers. Across the field is a hill, on the top is your chateau. He smiled; It is not an easy climb.

Outside the window of our breakfast nook is a row of sunflowers. We can fit four chairs around the table easily, but a garden picnic is more inviting.
